About Company
The Earth School is a private international Montessori school located in Kigali, Rwanda, offering a creative, experiential, and transformative education for children aged 2 to 12. Founded in 2011 by Edna and Juan Carlos Bonilla, the school emphasizes a child-centered approach that nurtures intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development. In June 2023, The Earth School became part of the Braeburn Group of International Schools, an established network of international schools in East Africa .
Programs and Philosophy
The Earth School follows the Montessori educational philosophy, providing a carefully prepared learning environment that supports children’s natural development. The school offers programs in both English and French, catering to a diverse international community with students from over 20 nationalities. Class sizes are intentionally small, with a maximum of 12 students per group, ensuring individualized attention and fostering peer-to-peer learning .

The campus features natural learning landscapes, including a vegetable garden and a rabbit farm, promoting hands-on, experiential learning. The school also offers a variety of extracurricular activities, such as music, arts, sports, swimming, and science programs, through its After School Program and Summer Camp .
