
Project Manager at Pole Institute
Job Description
Under the responsibility of the Coordinator, the PROJECT Manager will be responsible for:
- From the Implementation of the project;
- To provide expertise in project management in the field of access to justice and peacebuilding;
- To set up data collection tools;
- To travel regularly to the intervention areas targeted by the project as part of the supervision and implementation of the project;
- In close coordination with the field teams and the consortium, to ensure the organization and planning of project activities;
- To Compile, Centralize all reports and project activities;
- To ensure the proper execution of activities and their compliance with the project guidelines;
- To centralize the entry of information collected and transmitted by field teams and partners, and redirect the information to the people concerned;
- To ensure the smooth running of field activities;
- To participate in consortium meetings or other working groups related to the project;
- To regularly visit project sites;
- To ensure compliance with Pole Institute procedures;
- To have the ability to perform different tasks at the request of one’s hierarchy.
Required qualifications and skills
- Be of Rwandan nationality;
- Have a bachelor’s degree in law, social sciences, economics, development, etc.
- At least 5 years of experience as a project manager or similar position within an NGO;
- Have a very good knowledge of: the functioning of the humanitarian world in Rwanda, the operating principles of the Rwanda Governance Board (RGB) office, and all other national institutions, which interact with international NGOs in the implementation of projects;
- Experience working with young people;
- Experience in managing multi-sector teams;
- Experience in setting up and monitoring activities;
- Experience in project management and particularly in the area of access to justice;
- Experience in representing an NGO in inter-NGO/consortium meetings;
- Knowledge of intervention areas;
- Critical analysis skills;
- Have strong project implementation experience;
- Demonstrate pedagogy and initiative;
- Technological aptitude: Mastery of IT tools (Excel and Ms Word) and knowledge of how to use the internet.
